Grief Deserves More Than Silence
Experience Camps is a nonprofit organization that provides free, week-long summer camps for children who have experienced the death of a loved one. These camps offer a supportive environment where children can grieve, connect with others who have similar experiences, and engage in supportive activities that help them learn to live with and process their grief. Through compassion, connection, and play, Experience Camps amplifies the voices of grieving children and creates a more grief-informed culture for us all.
Strengthening Democracy
Beacon Media is a 501(c)3 nonpartisan nonprofit organization in North Carolina. Built around the core principle of defending our democracy, Beacon Media elevates the voices of local leaders — trusted messengers working on education, immigration and labor rights, among others. By communicating with underserved audiences for the values of a more inclusive democracy — in Black, Spanish-language and rural area media — Beacon Media is working to change the landscape and trajectory of North Carolina.
